The GI Imaging field continues to develop at a rapid pace, with a shift in momentum from traditional fluoroscopic studies to a range of cross-sectional and endoscopic imaging offered as both complementary and increasingly first line investigations. Gastrointestinal radiographers are well-placed to facilitate the smooth introduction of new technologies, with new opportunities on the horizon for advanced practice.
