This study day on ultrasound guided biopsies and other related interventional and diagnostic techniques is aimed at sonographers who are currently undertaking or planning to undertake procedures such as liver and breast biopsy, fine needle aspirations, amniocentesis, prostate biopsy, HyCoSy and ascites drainage.  Therapeutic procedures such as joint injections will also be included. The day's programme will provide a professional overview that will include training, clinical governance and professional indemnity insurance issues.  An update on the law as it relates to the administration of drugs and medicines by sonographers is also planned.
